The Pole showed what his hometown looks like during the coronavirus pandemic (22 photos)

Polish photographer Szary Burek walked through the streets of his native Warsaw, devastated by news of the coronavirus. He was struck by how much silence and fear there was on the streets, which just recently were teeming with people. He took these photos last weekend.

“Today I went for a walk to see what a city that is usually bustling with life looks like during the coronavirus. This is what Warsaw looks like on Sunday, March 15, on a beautiful sunny day,” writes the photographer.
