Watercolor is a very complex technique despite its apparent simplicity. Because the finished work should be as transparent and airy as possible while maintaining realism. This Russian artist managed to curb her wayward watercolor.
Marina Daykovskaya was born in the city of Frunze (now Bishkek), where she spent her childhood and youth and graduated from art school, receiving a degree in graphic design. As a volunteer she attended the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts and Industry named after A. L. Stieglitz.
For some time she worked in the theater as a costume designer, while also doing illustration. But then I became what is called a free artist, in order to work at a pace that was comfortable for myself.
During her creative career, Marina mastered and tried herself in different directions - graphics, painting of various objects, but she was truly fascinated by watercolor. She became the artist’s outlet,
Each work by Daykovskaya is a small touching story. Familiar to many and therefore even warmer. Watercolors are filled with lightness, life, tender memories and revived dreams.
