The artist and photographer repeat famous paintings without Photoshop, using only makeup, scenery and costumes (8 photos)
Artist Bella Grigoryants and photographer Andrey Kezzin joined forces to recreate art in real life, without the help of graphic editors.
As part of the “Into the Canvas” project, they repeated paintings by world-famous artists using only makeup, scenery and costumes. The creative duo created magic by simultaneously being inside the painting and at the same time bringing the work of art out into the real world.

"Shot Marilyn" by Andy Warhol
The painting “Shot Marilyns” (original title “Shot Marilyns”) has a rather unusual history. These are 4 canvases, each of which depicts Marilyn Monroe using screen printing. The artist Dorothy Podber came to the exhibition where this painting hung and asked Andy Warhol for permission to “photograph” the painting (the word “shoot” has several meanings: “to shoot” and “to photograph”). After which she took out a revolver and shot four paintings directly into the foreheads of the depicted Marilyns. Now the portraits have been restored, but after such a story, the paintings increased in price and such a specific name was assigned to them.
