Shilder Andrey Nikolaevich is an outstanding Russian landscape artist. Born in 1861 in St. Petersburg, in the family of the artist N.G. Schilder (1828-1898).
A.N. Schilder did not have any special art education. He studied with I.I. Shishkin, visiting his workshop.
In 1879 he traveled with him to Crimea
In 1893 - to Belovezhskaya Pushcha.
Participated in traveling exhibitions from 1884 to 1918,
Member of the Partnership since 1891
Since 1885, Schilder worked a lot in illustrated magazines: “North”, “Picturesque Review”, “World Illustration”, “Swallow”, “Nov” and “Artist”.
In 1903, Schilder became an academician of landscape painting.
Be a student of I.I. Shishkin and not experience the influence of such a powerful human and creative nature - this probably could not have happened.
Therefore, it is clear that among the landscapes of Andrei Nikolaevich Shilder one can find images of Shishkino pine forests, impenetrable thickets covered with snow, and springs among the trees.
