Karl Branders born in 1937. Born near Antwerp, Belgium.

Karl is known for his ability to very realistically reflect our smaller brothers and the nature that surrounds us in front of the viewer.

His paintings can be found in books dedicated to wildlife.

Numerous exhibitions, awards, the publication of several dozen books illustrated with his drawings - all this is part of the artist’s many-year career.

After studying at the Antwerp Academy of Fine Arts, Karl Brenders has been working as an animal artist for more than a quarter of a century. And it seems that there are no longer any secrets in nature that would not be revealed to him, that would not be reflected in his paintings. The amazing realism of images of animals, breathing, moving and seemingly frozen for a moment in front of the viewer, earned the artist worldwide fame, long ago going beyond the borders of Belgium.

To achieve the ideal image in his works, Branders uses mixed techniques, when transparent watercolor strokes are complemented by denser drawings made in gouache.
