Tony Wolfe is the pseudonym of the famous Italian illustrator Antonio Lupatelli, who created hundreds of magnificent illustrations for children's books. Tony Wolfe works in a variety of fields, from animation and comics to luxury playing card designs. Antonio Lupatelli was born in 1930, in Busseto, a small town near Parma. His first fame came from his work as an animator at the Payot Film studio (France). At the same time, Antonio Lupatelli created a series of comics for the little ones: “Freddy the Frog”, “Jack and Jill”, “Adventures in Toyland”. for the British publisher Fleetway.

In 1961, the artist’s creative life began a long period of collaboration with the Italian publishing house Fratelli Fabbri. Antonio Lupatelli illustrated school textbooks and publications for children. It was then that the name Tony Wolf was heard for the first time. Since 1978, Antonio Lupatelli has signed illustrations for children's books under this pseudonym.

In 1980, Antonio Lupatelli created a series of designs for the famous Italian playing card and tarot company Scarabeo. One of the artist’s most famous works is the Elven Tarot.
