Veniamin Nikolaevich Losin was born in 1931 in Moscow.
In 1950 he graduated from the Moscow Secondary Art School, in 1956 - from the graphic department of the Moscow State Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov (Book Workshop of Professor B.A. Dekhterev).
Since 1952, he has worked as an illustrator for the publishing houses “Children’s Literature”, “Malysh”, “Soviet Russia”, “Young Guard” and others.
For many years he illustrated the works of A.S. Pushkin, M.Yu. Lermontov, N.A. Nekrasov, A.P. Gaidar (“The Tale of the Military Secret, the Kibalchish Boy and His Firm Word”), V.Yu. .Dragunsky (“Deniska’s stories”), “Russian folk tales”, etc.
In total, the artist illustrated more than 180 works of Russian and world classical literature.
Since 1956 he has taken part in domestic and foreign exhibitions.
In 1958 he was admitted to the Union of Artists of the USSR.
He was awarded diplomas of various degrees at book competitions. Participated in exhibitions together with Evgeny Monin, Vladimir Pertsov and Viktor Chizhikov.
