Florent Willems (Florent Joseph Marie Willems) Belgian painter. Born in 1823. From 1844 he lived in Paris. The subjects for his paintings, usually small in size, were taken partly from history, partly from the domestic life of the aristocratic and wealthy classes of Flemish and Belgian society. The main feature of his works is rare grace; In particular, he became famous for his amazing ability to convey the shine of silk and satin.
Died in 1905.
