American artist Abbott Fuller Graves (1859 - 1936) (60 works)
Abbott Fuller Graves was a renowned specialist in garden landscapes and floral still lifes. He used thick impasto strokes, bright colors and natural light, which were most evident in his late paintings, showing the influence of European Impressionism.
Born in Weymouth, Massachusetts in 1859. He studied both in New England and abroad. Already famous for his flower bouquets, he went to study in Italy and Paris in 1884.
in 1891 he opened his own art school in Boston.
