Etienne Constable was dissatisfied with the decision of the city council, so he decided to leave the “last word” for himself. The man came up with a creative way to claim his rights.

Etienne Constable from California (USA), who was ordered by the city council to hide a boat parked in his driveway behind a fence, was hired by an artist to paint a realistic image of the vessel as a sign of protest.

The man said the boat he uses for fishing was regularly parked in his driveway for about four years before he received a letter notifying him of a municipal code requiring boats and trailers to be "enclosed on the sides and front." fence six feet (1.8 meters) high."

According to the American, his initial reaction to the letter was anger, but then he talked to his neighbor, artist Hanif Panni, and came to a creative solution. The constable installed a fence, and his friend painted a realistic picture of a boat on the side facing the road.

“We kind of hit the sweet spot between following the rules and elegantly saying otherwise,” the man told local media.

Panni, who described the project as an attempt to create an "illusion", posted photos of the finished work on social media, where they quickly went viral.

"I'm all about sparking discussion and making people smile. The response has been beyond our expectations and we're both absolutely thrilled about it," Constable said.

The unusual fence work has gained fans, including Nick Borges, Seaside's acting city manager, who called the man to praise his creative solution. According to Borges, he saw the photos on social networks, but did not immediately realize that they were taken in his area.
