The artist turned an abandoned hut into a reflective installation (9 photos)
American artist Phillip K. Smith created an optical illusion from a 70-year-old cabin in Joshua Tree National Park, California. He called his installation “Bright House”. The alternation of mirrors and wooden slats creates the feeling of looking at the desert through the building.
"Light House" is an opportunity to experience silence and change in the desert.

The house's door and windows are equipped with LEDs that illuminate the desert landscape after dark.
During the day, the desert landscape is reflected in the mirrors, the hut becomes barely visible.
“The backlight colors change so slowly that one might doubt that the door and windows actually change color.”
