Artist Hiroki Saito publishes his works on Twitter, where they are admired by thousands of enthusiastic fans - and all because these are not photographs, not drawings, not photo manipulations, but painstakingly executed “kiri-e” abstractions.
"Kiri-e" literally translates to "carved designs" and such works are created using paper and a blade. Hiroki Saito, who works with A4 and A3 formats, can take up to 4 months to create one work. However, as you can see below, the results are worth the effort.
