Illustrator Robert DeJesus and his new transformations of people into cute drawn characters (48 photos + 3 GIFs)
Robert DeJesus became famous thanks to a service often offered by artists who draw caricatures of people on the street. True, in his case there is no need to leave his home, since he creates his works from photographs.
This American illustrator, animator and writer, whom we already introduced you to in this article, makes amazing cartoon sketches based on photographs of people. When creating his works, he does not disdain the anime style, often performing his drawings in it, which, combined with solid experience in illustration and design, leads to the formation of images in a unique style.
“This idea struck me while I was at one of the conventions,” said DeJesus. “The official convention badges we wore reminded me of a driver’s license, and I thought, why not make a joke badge and place the tibi in the place where a photograph is posted. I designed a badge, bought a laminator and at the next convention it was a huge success.”
Afterwards, Dejesus also began making similar drawings to order. And over the years, the artist has created illustrations, comics and characters for several well-known publications, such as Antarctic press, Marvel and PlayStation Magazine.
Below you can see Robert's new sketches, after viewing which you will certainly want him to do the same with your photograph.
