The illustrator, inspired by flora and fauna, created an unusual Latin alphabet (27 photos)
French illustrator Valerie Hugo, who specializes in silk-screen printing and wall painting, created an unusual Latin alphabet made with flowers and animals for her solo exhibition at Slow Gallery. From A to Z, the entire alphabet is designed as postcard letters, with each letter decorated with flowers, sea animals, birds and cats.
“In my studio I create pictures using screen printing; they combine a love of nature, shamanic myths, and Japanese motifs. This inexpensive alphabet allows everyone to write what defines them. The letter, word or mantra will depend on who the postcard is addressed to,” the artist wrote.
