Artist Krista Huot (32 works)
Krista Huot spent her childhood and youth in British Columbia. She loved to wander through the mysterious, haunted forests of British Columbia, where she loved to spend all her time, pitching a tent, reading, playing the piano, meeting people, playing and chatting on all topics that interested her with animals, and drawing all the time. As an adult, she graduated from the College of Fine Arts and Classical Animation. Her paintings explore the emotional relationship of archetypes in folklore. The artist draws her inspiration from illustrated storybooks and studies folk art, animation, and vintage kitsch. She paints with acrylics and, more recently, has also used paints made from dissolved walnut oils. Currently, artist and illustrator Krista Huot lives and works in a 100-year-old wrought-iron house with her boyfriend Florent and two cats Gotham and Valhalla , in Montreal, Quebec. Krista Huot's work has been shown in galleries in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Portland.
