Who said that art should only be serious?! Jimmy Lawlor shows us that you can smile and laugh when you see his paintings. His work is based not only on the Irish sense of humor - the humor of the Irish people is fantastic - but also on vivid scenes of an old way of life that disappears with each generation.

Jimmy Lawlor was born in 1967 in County Wexford in the southeast of Ireland. He worked in the field of graphic illustration, but in the 1990s he decided to devote his full time to a career in the art of painting. Since then he has exhibited widely in galleries throughout Ireland and is known in England and France. Currently lives and works in Westport.
