Catherine Klein was born in Berlin in 1861. There she studied at an art school. She paid special attention to the depiction of both wild and garden flowers, occasionally adding drawings of birds and insects to her collections. The emergence of color printing coincided with exhibitions of her work, and this made her very popular. Her drawings were printed on postcards and used as book illustrations by Raphael Tuck & Sons, Theo. Stroeffer (TSN) and others.
Catherine Klein died in 1929.
