Henry Victor Leseur, French artist. Born in Roubaix on April 28, 1863, he received his formal training at the atelier of Francois Flameng - professor at l'Ecole de Beau-Artz. Under his tutelage, Leser received academic training.
During the 1880s and 1890s Leseur showed many paintings at the Paris Salon. It is interesting to note that most of the works he showed were portraits, whereas most of the works we see today are pretty women and handsome men dressed in 18th century costumes.
