Although Rene Cloke's creative life lasted almost 70 years, little is known about her. At birth - she was born in Plymouth on October 8, 1904 - she received the name Irene Mabel N. Cloke. She spent most of her life in London. She drew a lot - greeting cards, illustrations in children's books, funny animals. She has written and illustrated several children's books. But most of all, Rene Cloke is known for her drawings depicting the “little people” - fairies and elves. They say she painted until her death. The artist died on October 1, 1995, having lived to the age of 91.
