Ludovico Marchetti, Italian artist. Born in Rome on May 10, 1853.
He received his artistic education in the workshop of the Spanish artist Mariano Fortuny.
In 1878, at the age of 25, Ludovico Marchetti left for France. Here he continued his studies and began exhibiting at the Paris Salon, as well as in exhibition halls in Berlin and Munich.
Like many of his contemporaries, Marchetti specialized in historical paintings - scenes from a bygone era.
Marchetti remained in Paris until his death, June 20, 1909.
