Vitaly Shchukin was born in 1962 in Penza, Russia. After university he worked as a doctor at SIS. Now he is an administrator at a pediatric hospital. His hobby is digital painting. He loves watercolors and for several years he learned to imitate this technique on the computer. When creating his works he uses Photoshop CS2 and a Wacom tablet.
