As you might guess, the T-90AM is the deepest modernization of the good old T-90. According to the General Director of Uralvagonzavod Oleg Sienko, this machine was modified taking into account the comments and wishes of the military. In particular, the tank’s engine has become 130 horsepower more powerful, the design of the barrel has been completely changed (as I understand it, its casing), and the new tank will be equipped with a completely new machine gun mount, designed taking into account its increased security. The modernization also affected the gearbox and automatic loader. In addition, the T-90AM has a panoramic view and the machine’s software and hardware system has been seriously improved. Apparently, other characteristics of the tank will be the same as those of the T-90A (as far as I understand from the abbreviation, the letter “M” in the name of the tank denotes a modernized version of the T-90A tank).
