"The neon colors and shapes themselves seem surreal," admits the creator of this series.
From above, the casinos and gambling houses of Sin City are not visible, only an abundance of colors and figures in the darkness.
The photographer himself describes Las Vegas poetically: "An island of light in a sea of nothingness."
The photographer draws viewers' attention to the very simple layout of the city streets in Las Vegas.
"I've never seen anything like this in the air," Vincent Laforet emphasizes, adding that looking down on Las Vegas from above, it can be compared to a motherboard or a memory card.
"When I opened the helicopter door and stood on the skids, it took me a moment to calm down. But that view..." the photographer says.
Truly, these photographs themselves are breathtaking. And if you imagine they were taken from an altitude of 2.3 kilometers from an open helicopter, then the photographer's courage and passion for his work are truly admirable.
When shooting from a helicopter, the photographer says he feels passion and happiness.
"If something happened to me, my children would understand because they know I'm doing what I love."
"I'll never be an astronaut. But this way, I get as close to space as possible," the photographer said.
Photographer Vincent Laforet prepares for another flight at an altitude of over two kilometers above another nighttime city.
